About the Tribal Area
Paskenta Rancheria in California is the primary broadband planning geography for this federally recognized tribe, and it spans about 3.3 square miles. FCC BDC records show 12 fixed providers and 3 mobile providers across roughly 9 service locations, and current service levels of 100.0% at 25/3 Mbps, and 100.0% at 100/20.
Tribal Area Description
Tribal lands in California are associated with Paskenta, a federally recognized tribe. The land base is relevant for broadband planning due to rural service coverage and middle-mile access constraints.
We are the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, a resilient and vibrant tribe in the Corning area of Northern California. The Corning Promise and the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation provide our children with educational opportunities for a bright and sustainable future. Continuing the values of the Nomlaki people that stem from our ancestors, we collaborate with community partners to support education and environmental stewardship efforts. Our successful businesses bring visitors and investments to our Tribal lands, while our fair and open Tribal government gives every member a voice. We are a recognized sovereign nation in charge of our own destiny. We believe that community building efforts benefit everyone.
