Mesa Grande Band of Diegueño Mission Indians is governed by a General Council made up of all enrolled tribal citizens. Welcome to the Mesa Grande Band of Mission Indians, a federally recognized native nation in Southern California. The Mesa Grande Band of Diegueño Mission Indians Tribal citizens are direct descendants of the original aboriginal peoples who occupied northern San Diego county since time immemorial. The daily affairs of the Tribe are administered by an elected Business Committee comprised of five Tribal citizens serving five-year terms.
