About the Tribal Area
Alaska Native Village in Alaska, centered on Naknek Native Village, . FCC BDC records show 3 fixed providers and 2 mobile providers across roughly 591 service locations, with current availability of 2.0% at 25/3 Mbps, and 0.0% at 100/20.
Tribal Area Description
In Alaska, Naknek has tribal lands managed by a federally recognized tribe. The land base is relevant for broadband planning due to rural service coverage and middle-mile access constraints.
The Naknek Native Village Council (NNVC) is the federally recognized governing body of the Naknek Tribe, located in Naknek, Alaska. Our region is a diverse community rich in history, centered around the world-famous salmon runs of Bristol Bay. For thousands of years, the Indigenous peoples of this region have lived in harmony with the land and waters, relying on the bay’s salmon-rich ecosystems to sustain their families, traditions, and ways of life.
